Information, referral and advice
All women are welcome to drop in or phone the Centre for information, referral and advice between 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
We have up-to-date information on women’s health, pregnancy and parenting, legal and employment rights, counselling and family support services, support for victims of domestic or sexual violence, and women’s community, support and crisis networks.
We also have contact details for women-friendly doctors, lawyers, natural health practitioners and counsellors. Lesbian activities, events and services are advertised and the Tamaki Makaurau Lesbian Newsletter is available. Ring or drop in Monday - Friday 9am-4pm or email info@womenz.org.nz more››

Counselling and Life Coaching
Counselling and Life Coaching sessions are confidential, available to individuals and couples, and conform to ethical guidelines. Copies of our Ethics and Complaints Guidelines brochure is available at AWC.
Counselling can assist with grief and separation, managing life changes or crisis, "coming out", identity and sexual orientation issues, self-esteem, relationships and intimacy, family difficulties, conflict resolution or abuse and violence.
Joan Prairie is our lesbian counsellor offering appointments to lesbian clients.
Counselling sessions are by appointment. Fees are negotiated on a sliding scale of $30-$80 taking account of your income.
We are now offering Life Coaching with the addition of Lucy Daykin to our team. Life Coaching is about considering all areas of your life; looking at where you are now, and where you want to be. Lucy works out of the Auckland Women's Centre on Monday nights and Saturday mornings at a reduced rate of $80 per session unwaged or $100 per session waged. Please call Lucy directly to book in. Community Education
We have support groups, activities, educational opportunities, and weekend workshops available. Part of our community education programme runs continuously, while other classes are organised into four terms a year. more››

Library
An abundant collection of books by women, about women and for women. The library is open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm and Saturdays from 11am-1.30pm. We have an after hours returns box on the porch for your use outside these times. more››

Health
The breast screening bus is parked just outside the Centre once a year for breast examinations. Please call us for the next dates.
MASSAGE for beneficiaries and other women on low incomes is available on Mondays. Call us soon as this service books up quickly ph 376 3227. more››
